Day1: Volunteer Event for Kenya 40 Libraries Project

At Maryam Library Foundation, we believe that access to books and knowledge is a fundamental human right. With this belief at our core, we embarked on the Kenya 40 library project, an ambitious initiative to establish 40 libraries across Kenya, providing a gateway to learning and empowerment for thousands of children and adults.

We plan to fill a 20 feet shipping container with about 1,000 boxes containing 40,000 books. it is a mammoth task.

Today, we marked a significant milestone in this journey by hosting our first volunteer event in collaboration with Help Aid Africa, bringing together a group of dedicated individuals who shared our passion for making a difference. With their enthusiastic support, we made substantial progress in sorting and packing books for shipment to Kenya.

The atmosphere was electric as our volunteers, armed with boxes, packaging material, and an unwavering spirit, tackled the task with remarkable efficiency. The air was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a sense of shared purpose as they worked together to transform a room filled with books into neatly organized packages ready to embark on their journey to Kenya.

As we witnessed the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers, we were humbled by their willingness to give their time and energy to a cause so close to our hearts.
