We at the Maryam Library Foundation are thrilled to announce an ambitious collaboration with OSAAT (One School At A Time), a partnership set to transform education in Karnataka through the power of libraries. In 2024, we will be embarking on six exciting library projects, each designed to nurture a love of reading and learning in underserved communities across Belagavi and Haveri districts.

Our Mission: Expanding Horizons Through Literacy

We firmly believe that every child deserves access to quality educational resources, regardless of their location or background. Libraries are not just buildings filled with books; they are gateways to new worlds, catalysts for imagination, and essential tools for academic success.

Six Schools, Six Unique Stories

Each of the six schools selected for this project has its own unique story and set of challenges. But they all share a common thread: a passionate commitment to education and a desire to provide their students with the best possible learning environment.

Introducing Our 2024 Library Projects

• Government Higher Primary School, Avaragola: Creation of a dedicated library space with a diverse collection of Kannada-language books.

• Govt. Model Higher Primary School, Rajakatti: Transformation of an existing room into a dynamic learning center with cozy reading nooks and educational resources.

• Government Higher Primary School, Masaguppi: Revitalization of the school's library with expanded collections, new technology, and engaging programs.

• Government Higher Primary School, Chinnikatti: Development of a bilingual library supporting both Kannada and English language learning.

• Government Higher Primary School, Keravadi: Creation of a cozy reading corner to foster a love of reading and promote independent learning.

• Government Model Boys & Girls Higher Primary Schools, Kudupali: Creation of a shared library space for two schools, promoting collaboration and inclusivity.
