Bringing the Joy of Reading to Nangali: Maryam Library Foundation and OSAAT Partner to Build a New School Library
The Government Model Higher Primary School in Nangali, Karnataka, India, is a vibrant place of learning. With 317 students from LKG/UKG to 8th grade, the school is committed to providing a high-quality education to all its children. Dedicated teachers, a mix of Kannada and English medium instruction, and OSAAT's digital ODiSI program ensure that Nangali's students have the tools they need to succeed.
But there was one piece missing: a proper library.
While the school had a small collection of books, including some from Room to Read India, the space itself was inadequate. There were just two library periods per week for students in classes 5 and above, and the lack of a dedicated library room limited its potential.
Luckily, Nangali's students wouldn't have to wait any longer.
Library Project
Maryam Library Foundation, in collaboration with OSAAT, is thrilled to announce the construction of a brand new library for the Government Model Higher Primary School!
This new library will be more than just a room with books. It will be a haven for Nangali's young minds, a place where they can:
