What is Project Buniyaad

In the heart of Pune, where dreams vie with limited resources, a beacon of hope shines brightly. The Center of Excellence (COE), a groundbreaking initiative spearheaded by Mission Buniyaad by Literacy International, is bridging the gap between potential and opportunity for underserved children.

At the core of COE lies the transformative Teaching at Right Level (TaRL) program. Through personalized guidance and tailored methodologies, TaRL propels students forward, enabling them to overcome learning gaps and achieve remarkable academic progress. In just a single year, students typically advance by an astonishing 2.5 years. TaRL-1 forms the bedrock of academic excellence, bolstering confidence and unlocking doors to success.

But COE's vision extends far beyond academic achievement. Recognizing the need for holistic development, COE offers specialized Labs that provide gateways to diverse horizons. From nurturing creativity in the Art Lab to fostering innovation in the Entrepreneurship Lab, COE equips students with practical skills that extend well beyond textbooks.

Our Partnership (Library)

Maryam Library Foundation's commitment to empower underserved children is further strengthened by collaborating with Literacy International in establishing a library in this center. Recognizing the vital role that libraries play in fostering a love of learning, this library will be instrumental for the overall success of COE.

This library will serve as a haven for students, providing them with access to a vast array of books and resources that will spark their imaginations and broaden their horizons. Looking towards the future, Maryam Library foundation and Literacy International (through their Raabta program) are are dedicated to expanding their impact by introducing innovative programs that foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and technological skills among young students. We envision to launch various program that cultivates the spirit of innovation and business acumen in students. Through practical exercises and mentorship, students can learn about idea generation, teamwork, and financial literacy, empowering them to become confident, creative thinkers and future leaders. Recognizing the importance of artistic expression, we could also establish a dedicated art-based program at after school community centers like these. Students will have the opportunity to explore various art forms, fostering their creativity, self-expression, and aesthetic sensibilities. This program will encourage students to embrace their artistic talents and develop skills that go beyond traditional boundaries, nurturing a well-rounded approach to education.
